I know it’s not Tuesday but I have a thought on my mind. And yes, I know it’s 2am!
How many times have we told ourselves “I want to do ____ but the timing isn’t right” or “In ___ years I’m going to do ____!”
No, I’m not advocating that we all just jump ship and go crazy on all of the things we want to do. What I am saying is, you should not be waiting for the right time to begin preparing yourself for whatever it is that you want to do.
So how do we prepare even if we feel the timing isn’t just “right”?
1. Outline your vision.
Do you REALLY know what the vision is? I’ve had experiences where I had an idea that was one thing but after mapping it out, it became something completely different. Go old school and grab a pen and paper and think of any and every way you can turn that vision into a reality.
2. Create weekly goals.
You should be doing at least one thing per week to work towards your goal. You should also find a way to hold yourself accountable to those goals. Maybe try getting a “goal buddy” or you can try rewarding yourself when you complete your weekly tasks consecutively for a month.
3. Ask for help.
Asking for help in any capacity is something I have always struggled with. I have learned over time that the saying, “ask and you shall receive” is SO true! You never know who can help you or what resources are available to you unless you simply ASK!
4. Stop procrastinating.
The time is NOW! Why wait another day to work towards your dreams? Stop procrastinating and make it happen!
